I have tested AdiIRC on windows 7 beta 1, and so far the only thing that is not working, is the autogeneration of the API file, which causes AdiIRC to crash on startup. Im looking into ways to fix these in an update, if you dont want to wait, download this file and put it in your AdiIRC folder, and everything should work.

If you have a weak stomach for bugs, don't use the current beta's, i am trying to fix issues which I have been suppressing in the past, and so there are some debug stuff going on, and it will probably crash a lot.
For those that do use it, please keep submitting those automated bug reports, it will help me nail them.
I will try to make a new beta with fixes each day until most have been found.
Might have broken the update system in the battle also, please manually get updates if you get an permission denied error.
Thanks, also happy new year :D
1.8 and folder permissions
December 6th, 2008
If your settings or servers is missing in 1.8 using Vista or non admin accounts in XP, dont worry, AdiIRC is just using another folder to store and read the settings.
In Vista they are saved in c:\Users\YourWindowsUsername\AppData\Local\AdiIRC , so what you can do is close AdiIRC, and copy all files except AdiIRC.exe from c:\Program Files (x86)\AdiIRC into that folder.
In XP they are in c:\Document And Settings\YourWindowsUsername\Locale Settings\AdiIRC .
Sorry about that, should have been taken care of in 1.7
