I see in the bug reports, lot's of people using windows 64 bit(?) I guess, having this problem: "Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\AdiIRC\config.ini' is denied"
I am gonna fix this very soon, and try to save config files in the users folder when access is denied.
In the meanwhile, if you experience this problem, try running adiirc as an administrator, or download the standalone .exe and run it from your desktop or documents folder.
Sorry about that.

Several people has made me aware that AdiIRC does not play nice with Vista and user account protection, meaning that they can neither update through autoupdate, nor install media player plugins.
I am working hard on getting a 1.7.1 ready which is gonna take care of this and ask for administrator access when needed.
If you have 1.6 on Vista and you cannot update, please try right clicking on AdiIRC.exe and select "Run as administrator" and it will be allowed to update, or you can download the 1.7 Installer and install over 1.6. (If you install 1.7 now, you have to do this trick to install 1.7.1 later, so if you don't urgently need the update, just wait until 1.7.1)
This trick can be used when installing plugins also.
I apologize for any inconveniences.
